Hikaru Kato Sulu

Hikaru Sulu is a fictional character in the Star Trek franchise. He is a member of the crew of the USS Enterprise in the original series, and appears in several other Star Trek media, including the animated series, the first six movies, and one episode of Star Trek: Voyager. Sulu was originally known simply as "Sulu", but his first name, "Hikaru", was revealed in a 1981 novel. He was portrayed by George Takei in the original series, and by John Cho in the 2009 film Star Trek and its sequels, Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond.
